PhpFox 3.9 Upgrade from 3.7.4(build 2)

edited September 2016 in phpFox

Hi,

I've downloaded 3.9 but not installed it yet. I have a few questions about it first.

I read this forum article - http://scripttechs.com/forum/thread/3157/v3-9-released/ and checked the links mentioned in various posts.

? - So, does this update offer up all of the bug fixes needed for the final v3? A few comments at that forum article left me wondering. For example one about needing files for this long list of bugs that appeared in v 3.8 (which I never updated to) http://scripttechs.com/forum/thread/2034/v3-8-confirmed-bug-list/view_9491/

Also a comment about these bug fixes - http://scripttechs.com/article/380/bug-fixes-for-v3-8/
........................................................................................................................................................

At any rate going from my version 3.7.4 to the last 3.9 - since I never had 3.8 do I need to do it?

Does it fix anything that was wrong in 3.7.4?

Do I need anything else to install or change in files when (if) I do this update?

Are there any bugs left or new in this 3.9 version?

Thanks for any advice.

  • 3.9 only included the bugs listed as fixed at github. Our bug list and fixes listed were not in it.

  • Thanks but then am I understanding right then that those other bug fixes except a couple I found links to are no longer available? And - if those bugs only appeared in 3.8 and I didn't update to it, do I even need those other bug fixes?

  • Those bugs were not just 3.8 and we did post the list of fixes I believe. We also have the fixes if we need to apply them but that's a charge to do. I'll look after work.

  • The only list I found had links to pages that were no longer there.

  • There is a thread there that dealt with that issue. I will look after work.
